Hello,

Welcome to our June 2006 edition to Quick e-News, bringing you yet more helpful and supportive articles to help with the running of your business.

This month we have Top 10 tips for writing your own press release brought to you by Paula Gardner from Do Your Own PR, a guidance article on Intellectual Property and Patents supplied by NetLawman, and Business121 point out that 450,000 small businesses are losing out on rate relieve worth up to £2,500 to them!

Continue reading for these great articles, including this months Quick Business in Focus, which is The Hubworking Centre, a great place to meet, hold a business event and hot desk in London.

UK Business Networking
Last week we held our first UK Business Forums networking event which was a huge success. With around 80 people in attendance, our guest speaker Michael Markham really ramped up the atmosphere with some very great advice on networking and some enjoyable audience participation. Pictures from the event will be uploaded onto www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk within a few days for all to see, so keep checking in. Stay subscribed to this newsletter to find out about our next event later this year!

If you would like to get involved with our thriving networking community pop along to www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk and join in with the business support, networking and business being done online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Don’t forget, members of the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce get extra functionality on their account as a value added benefit of Chamber membership!

Quick Expansion & Promotions
Some of you would have dealt with Pauline if you had any questions relating to our registered office service, or order fulfilment. I’m pleased to announce that Pauline has now been promoted to our firms Financial Controller and I’d like to welcome Kristina into our team to continue a role that Pauline carried out so well.

Thought for the Day, All work and no Play.
Today is my daughters 4th birthday, and seeing her this morning reminded me how important home life is outside of work. It seems only yesterday that she was learning to walk, now she hardly stands still!

My thought for today … no matter how important that project, quote or meeting is, you only get one shot at this life so make sure you make time in that life for the things which are really important. After all, if you are happy at home you are happy at work, and happy people are more productive!

Enjoy your weekend and next month I’ll let you all know how we get on at next weeks National Business Awards presentation!

Kind Regards,

Richard Osborne
