Hello,
Welcome to the June 2008 edition of Quick™ eNews.

Welcome to the June edition of Quick e-News, bringing you up to date with events at Quick Formations and useful news articles submitted by friends and colleagues aimed at helping you with your own businesses.

With so much talk about there being a Downturn in the economy, I am finding there are many mixed opinions about what is and is not really happening in businesses. Some people are commenting on a slow down in sales and consumer spending, with others stating little or no difference in their figures. What is consistent with everyone I speak to is the fear that we could talk ourselves into an unnecessary recession, which is compounded by negative press coverage about the slump in the property market. It is unfortunate that good news doesn’t sell as many papers as bad, looking through the inner pages of some of the local business press there are some great success stories which haven’t made the cover.

The articles in this month’s newsletter are geared around the importance of planning your business and focusing your message to your target market. We have an article on planning your website, making sure you supply what your customers actually want, and preparing the correct business plan to develop your business.

FSB Karting Challenge
I’d like to finish on a high. I’m proud to announce that “The Quickies” finished in a fantastic last place at the May 2008 FSB Karting Challenge, with a combination of amongst the fastest and slowest laps recorded on the day! Perhaps next year we may amend our name to “The Could be Quicker’s” I’m also pleased to announce that I think I may have spent more time off the track than on it, but in my defense I was informed that if you don’t crash it means you’re not trying hard enough. Perhaps some more track time is needed as it was the first time in a 40mph Go-Kart for all of us, great fun!

Enjoy the warmer weather, spend some time in the sun, and until next month don’t let the scaremongers get you down!
Kind Regards,
Richard Osborne
